Alpa 11.50
Robust, Seaworthy, and Very Well Maintained Alpa 11.50 Ready to Sail!!
Very well maintained, this 1974 Alpa 11.50, built and designed in Italy, is a sloop that combines optimal sailing performance with exceptional comfort thanks to its large cockpit. Its interior layout is rational and comfortable, featuring a cabin with a double bed, a transformable dinette with a double berth and a single bed, as well as another single bed next to the chart table. It is the ideal boat for cruising enthusiasts. The hull, entirely made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, offers exceptional sturdiness thanks to its longitudinal reinforcements. The monolithic deck with non-slip surface is made entirely of glass resin.
The current owner, an experienced sailor and sailing enthusiast, has significantly upgraded the onboard equipment. The electronics have been updated over the years: depth sounder and speed log in 2020, chart plotter in 2008, and Raymarine autopilot in 2020. The standing and running rigging were replaced in 2021. The sails are in excellent condition: a battened mainsail with a genoa on a manual furler (changed in 2021), as well as a symmetrical spinnaker and a storm sail on board. The engine, a Midif Diesel 30 horsepower, was replaced in 2002 and has 744 hours of operation (January 2025), with propeller shaft propulsion and a 4-blade propeller. An inflatable Quicksilver dinghy with a 2020 electric TEMO motor is also included.
In terms of autonomy and energy balance, this sailboat is a good model of efficiency: the battery charger and inverter were replaced in 2021. Two 55W flexible solar panels and three service batteries, also replaced in 2021, ensure reliable power supply. LED lighting completes this high-performance setup.
