Exterior design
A happy marriage of both classic and modern lines marked by a fine but voluminous straight bow, and a very far aft beam of 5 m, the First 53 immediately displays a strong character as a seagoing sailboat.
The cockpit has been specifically designed to ensure no obstacles hinder movement forward: maneuvers near the dual helm with easy access to the sidedecks, a space entirely dedicated to relaxation close to the companionway. The low-profile coachroof gives a sleek style, and the flush deck offers a modern look.
With its powerful yet perfectly manageable sail plan in reduced crew, a high-quality mast and rigging, the First 53 marks a new era.
Interior design
The great comeback of molded wood, a noble material with refined finishes, against a backdrop of lacquered partitions and teak flooring for the interior space of the First 53, which does not aim to be too extreme in its modernity.
Grab rails and handrails, complete storage solutions make up the layout featuring three double cabins and two heads. The major innovation of this interior lies in the lounge/rest area with a sofa and coffee table, separated from the kitchen space equipped with a dining table.
The whole space is bright, airy, and easily connects with the outside through an easy and intuitive companionway.
