The Boréal 47, chosen as the sailboat of the year 2018 in the USA, is a successful evolution of the Boréal 44, 'sailboat of the year 2010' in France and in 2011 in the Netherlands. The Boréal 47 uses the hull of the 44 while providing more direct access to the sea (transom) and large storage lockers. With the chines extended, it offers greater dynamic buoyancy, allowing for smoother movements of the boat and a longer stride.
