Digadao, 5.60 Jezequel, Carantec. 1971, N°16
Digadao was completely restored in 2015-16.
The hull was in excellent condition and required no work.
The deck and cabin top are original and have been restored.
The spruce mast is original and has been restored, as well as the boom and the pole.
Description of works carried out:
Ballast:
Stripped, sanded, left to dry for 1 year, 4 coats of Mistak Fondo (Boero), antifouling.
Hull:
Underwater: Stripping, light sanding, joints cleaned, caulking, flexible Gyso 555 joints, 4 coats of Mistral Fondo, antifouling.
Above water: Stripping, joints cleaned, caulking, 2k joints, 4 coats of primer, 3 coats of Epifane paint, restoration of the stem, new stainless steel fittings.
Deck:
Stripping, restoration of damaged areas, epoxy fillet joints along the coaming and cabin, milled the edge of the deck and performed a mahogany epoxy bonding on the deck edge overhanging the hull, same for the cabin.
The deck and cabin top were treated with epoxy and then received 2 coats of 2k paint and anti-slip.
The coamings are new, glued-screwed with plugs, in mahogany.
The handrails are new, in mahogany, screwed into M5 inserts in the beams.
The bilge under the mast foot is new.
The 2 hatches are new.
The portholes are new.
The balcony is original.
The winch supports are new, as well as the piano.
All varnished wood parts of the boat have received 2 coats of Lazotic stain and 5 coats of Lenk varnish.
Rigging:
The mast has been stripped, restored, 2 coats of Lazotic and 5 of Lenk varnish.
The original boom has been modified to accommodate a mainsail with a free foot, 2 reefing lines, and the same finish.
The pole has been restored, same finish.
The shrouds, backstay, forestay, and side stays are original, the whippings on the splices are new.
Engine:
Vetus M2.02, 12 horsepower, in service since 2016.
Cradle, stuffing box, tube, shaft line, propeller, 22L custom PVC tank, water intake-strainer, filling nipple, exhaust, control,…. 2016.
Annual service carried out before winterization.
Rudder:
Axis, new fittings.
The rudder is original and has been restored.
The tiller is original, the retractable fitting is new.
Electricity:
12V system, battery 2016.
220V system, charger, dock cord, circuit breaker 2016.
2 retractable Navisafe navigation lights.
Deck hardware:
All new from 2016.
Ronstan and Harken blocks and cleats.
Andersen self-tailing winches.
6mm halyards, 8mm sheets, Liros.
Windex wind vane.
Stands:
1 pair from 2016.
1 original pair restored.
Sails:
All from 2016.
Mainsail 10m², crosscut dacron, 4 battens including 1 heavy, 2 reefs, 1 clew, free foot.
Genoa 14 m², crosscut dacron.
Intermediate, 10 m², cdx5, tri-radial cut.
Course jib, crosscut dacron.
Spinnaker 38 m², white superkot 75 nylon, tri-radial cut.
Cabin, bilges:
The entire interior has been stripped, lightly sanded, and received coats of paint or oil.
The engine-ladder hatch is new, some fittings are original, others are new.
The woods are stained and satin oiled.
The bilges are painted with 2-3 coats of Bilge Epifane.
The berths are new.
Safety equipment:
Coastal, complete, 2016.
Dinghies:
1 inflatable 2.20 from 2017.
1 rigid 2.45 from 2017.
Trailer:
Mecanorem trailer, 1 axle, 4 stands from 2017.
