To meet the needs of firefighting interventions for marinas and ports, we developed the WT 610 P in 2022.
Shown at specialized trade shows and tested by several SDIS and private services, the unit we offer now has one year of use and approximately 10 engine hours. It is now time for it to enter active service. It should be noted that the discounted price of this offer takes into account its condition as a demonstration boat and its model year and cannot in any case be applied to the sale of a new boat.
By choosing the WT610 model from our yard MSBOAT, we aimed to develop a boat as compact as possible while maintaining the capabilities of the pumps currently used for these types of missions; namely 800 liters/min at a minimum of 8 bars.
To date, only Tohatsu offers a compact model providing a flow rate of 1500L/min at 10 bars or 1800L/min at 8 bars, notably with a bronze pump body allowing use with salt water. It is important to note that it is necessary to rinse the pump after use, and to facilitate this, we provide a kit to connect to a fire hydrant. This pump is removable and portable with its retractable handles and weighs only 127kg.
Incorporating its own fuel tank, it has a one-hour operating autonomy at full throttle.
Fixed in front of the cabin, it pumps seawater through an internal T-shaped water intake, drawing from both port and starboard sides of the hull, thus limiting potential obstruction at a single entry point.
It supplies 2 outlets with a diameter of 80mm. Obviously wishing to also address hydrocarbon fires, we have positioned a 400-liter emulsion tank in front of the cabin and a Venturi effect mixer adjustable from 1 to 5% installed under the deck to inject the emulsifier into the water.
We recommend the Biofor N** emulsifier, which is environmentally safe and fully biodegradable. A motorized stainless steel monitor gun is positioned on the port forward gunnels and is operated from the cabin via a joystick as well as with a wireless remote control with a range of 50 meters. This gun is supplied with emulsifier.
A second manual monitor gun is positioned on the starboard forward gunnels. It is supplied with water directly from the pump.
With an initial payload capacity of 1200kg, the MSBOAT 610 will still maintain a usable payload capacity of 880kg despite the weight of all these elements. Moreover, with a width of 2.4 meters and an overall length of 6.5 meters, it remains very maneuverable inside a port.
A console is located at the rear of the deck, providing good protection for the crew, and with a stand-up bench, it securely accommodates the pilot and the operator in charge of the pump and monitor gun operation. It is equipped with an engine control panel, necessary gauges and meters, a water ingress alarm in the bilge, a fuel vapor alarm in the bilge, an emergency shut-off pull for the engine fuel supply, a control for the powerful searchlight, a control for the motorized gun, a combined sounder/GPS, a sirens, gyro, and public-address system completing the onboard electronic equipment.
Several spotlights provide good illumination of the deck and the surrounding area of the boat. The front door with electric control allows for the easy launch and retrieval of a floating stretcher. Side doors with a 1.2-meter opening are equipped with rigid ladders that deploy automatically into the water when the doors are opened, allowing for the rescue of persons in the water without assistance from a third party. Note that the manual lance can be pointed upwards to protect the boat under a water curtain. This boat is fully constructed of marine aluminum 5083.
This boat will be available as of the closing of the National Firefighters Congress, on October 9, if necessary. It can then be registered as a Division 222 surveillance, assistance, and rescue boat, in Category 5 (certification cost additional).
It should be noted that to operate a D222 boat in this category, it is no longer necessary to have the Captain200 license, but the new BACPN license is sufficient (License for the Operation of Small Vessels), which is easily obtainable in a few days of training for someone who already has their coastal license.
