General condition:
This Sessa Key Largo 28 launched in 2007 is in good presentation condition. No particular remarks to make regarding the hull structure or superstructures. This unit shows signs of aging related to its years of service. The engines start on the first attempt and are maintained annually.
Exterior:
The hull was covered with a wrap (gray/dark blue) in 2020. The general condition is good. We have not observed any peeling or major scratches. The superstructures are also in good presentation condition without major marks. The white gelcoat, however, requires polishing. All equipment has been tested and is in working order. The external wooden parts also need treatment.
The flexiteek floor was installed at the beginning of the 2024 season. The workmanship is of good quality. All upholstery is original except for the backrest of the front sunbathing area. The condition of these is acceptable. The console covers, cockpit cover, and bimini are in usable condition.
Interior:
This unit has been little used by its current owners who have held the boat since 2012 in the sleeping area and bathroom. The upholstery is in good condition and the linings are in place. The kitchen area shows common aging points for Key Largo 28s with the wooden parts reacting poorly to various water splashes from the sink. The floors are also slightly marked by time in the central area and on the steps down to the cabin.
Mechanics:
The two 225hp Mercury engines start on the first attempt without any smoke or abnormal noise. The engine covers have been recently repainted. The engines are equipped with 3-blade stainless steel props with a locking nut due to a bad experience. No particular remarks to be made on this point.
Electronics:
The boat is equipped with a Smartcraft navigation display for engine management, a Garmin 720S GPS combo, and a fixed Radio Ocean 4700 VHF.
Additionally, there is a Sony radio/CD player with a remote control on the dashboard. All of this equipment is functional and dates from the year of the boat.
